FJORDLAND
Fjordland AS was established in 1994 by the Norwegian Agricultural Cooperative and is fully owned by TINE Norske Meierier,
Norsk Kjøttsamvirke, Norske Potetindustrier and Prior Norge. The company had a turnover in 2002 of NOK 500 mill. It is located
in Oslo and has 60 employees.
Fjordland's corporate image is to develop and strengthen ideas mainly based on the owners' raw materials, in addition
to fish
and seafood. Fjordland values should be created by product-development, branding and sales.
In 1994, Fjordland obtained the sales responsibility of Brelett, Bremykt and Tine Grøt. Two years later a variety
of KOS-desserts
were successfully launched, followed by a series of convenience food. Today, Fjordland is the largest supplier within the
category of so-called "Fresh ready meals". Since 1998, Fjordland has also controlled the sales rights of Yoplait yoghurt in
Norway.
